Brownie Points

The first day of snow here in Illinois gave me the perfect excuse for another post! It's not officially winter yet so the snow comes and goes.
Speaking of coming and going, the audience- my audience, is really what this is all about.
If you ask who, I'd like to say that I hope to reach an audience of hustling women who love vintage and thrift shopping, while giving a damn about their personal impact on this world. Of course, you and I never stop evolving, so I won't stop the definition there. I bet majority of you come from the Philippines, the country I'm from, but it's also rewarding to see some of you visit from other countries, like the U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Australia, as well (shout out to you, guys). I also bet that some of you just look at the pictures (wink).

It's exciting to see you all grow with me, the numbers have shown how far we've come. The connectivity brought by social media has definitely made that happen; not to mention the use of #hashtags. There are definitely a few things I have learned about social media stats, and although I'm not all that, I realized that people respond to your own confidence. I wish I had known that earlier because then, I would have been focusing on my own creativity, and not of others, but I eventually learned. Now, I have grown more confident on not being up-to-date with trends, and have grown even more confident in wearing old people's clothes! It's amazing how much confidence hand-me-downs can give you. The brownie points are secondary because they come after you've shown how you've spiced up your wardrobe with your grandmother's. Extra brownie points go to you, too, if your grandmother had great taste in clothes (like mine! wink again).
Regardless of who you are, here's a virtual hug* as a 'thank you' for visiting... (air hugging you right now).

*Except maybe for my Momma to whom I'll give an actual hug to because she surprisingly reads this!
