Here is the Chicago Skyline with Navy Pier to the left

This is a typical Chicago Bungalow with the traditional "Fly the W" flag. Go Cubs!

Pictured here is the School of the Art Institute to the left and Millenium Park in the center. And yes, that's the Chicago Bean (made from gourds)

The details of the Chicago Theater were given justice!

The famous Union Station!

I tell you, this may be the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for all garden exhibits. Chicago Botanic Garden's Wonderland Express exhibit boasts the garden's plethora of flora by re-creating miniature and intricately-detailed landmarks of the wonderful windy city.

The entire exhibit is so carefully designed that the people behind it spend the whole year working on the different elements before putting them all together. Oh, did I mention that they need to have at least one engineer in the place to make sure everything's on point? Friendly and accommodating to visitors, they check on the miniature train going around, among others.

This certainly is a treat for all ages, but I think what makes this exhibition amazing is that they've got it right down to the last detail. From a bird's (or rather human's) eye view, you could see replicas of the Chicago city landmarks like Navy Pier and the famous Chicago Bean, but up close, those landmarks are entirely made up of different vegetables, twigs, leaves, and seeds all glued together!

In the spirit of beautiful lights, and crisp evergreen trees, the exhibit not only proves that there is beauty in nature, but also that beauty can result from human being's resourcefulness and creativity.
